Overview

The Hollen Globe Classic Pendant is a generous glass globe shade set in polished brass, designed to hang low over a table or kitchen island and gather the room beneath it. At 50cm in diameter, the globe has the scale to anchor a dining space without ever feeling heavy-handed. The shade stands 52.5cm tall and is suspended from a slender ceiling rose, giving it a clean, considered presence overhead.

The clear glass globe lets light spread evenly in every direction, so the room fills with a soft, unhurried glow rather than a single hard-edged pool. Polished brass carries that light beautifully, catching a warm gleam along its curved fittings that will only grow richer with age rather than dating. It is a finish built to deepen over years of use, settling into a room rather than sitting apart from it.

The pendant takes a single E27 bulb (not included), up to 60W, and is compatible with dimmable lamps where a suitable dimmer switch is fitted. It carries an IP20 rating, suited to dry indoor spaces, and is wired to Class I. Given the drop can extend to 375cm on its 3m chain, we'd recommend installation by a qualified electrician, particularly where the chain needs shortening to suit ceiling height.

Takes a main E27 screw-fit bulb (up to 40W), with an additional GU10 lamp position beneath the globe for a downward light — bulbs not included. Hung on a 3m chain that can be shortened to suit your ceiling.

Rated IP20 for indoor, dry rooms and earthed (Class I) — we recommend installation by a qualified electrician. A textured prismatic glass globe with an unlacquered solid brass cap, ball base and chain that develops a natural patina over time. Covered by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty.
