Overview

A bulkhead is a working light that happens to look good. Solid brass, prismatic glass, and a cage across the front that was originally there to stop things hitting the glass on a ship.

It carries an IP65 rating, which means jets of water, not just splashes. That puts it outside above a door or a path, or inside a bathroom where the shower can reach it — the same fitting either side of the threshold.

Polished brass is unlacquered, so it will patina. Handled edges stay bright, sheltered areas deepen, and outdoors it moves faster. If you want it to stay as it arrives, choose the lacquered version instead. Takes one E27 bulb.

Rated IP65 for outdoor and bathroom use and earthed (Class I) — installation of an outdoor/bathroom fitting must be carried out by a qualified electrician. A round nautical-style bulkhead in solid brass with a prismatic glass cover. The polished (unlacquered) brass ages naturally over time, or can be polished to keep its original sheen.
