In a room with a low ceiling, a shallow fitting that throws light upward keeps the ceiling from feeling close. The Vaughan Chandelier Medium is two curved steel forms in bronze and painted gold, 61cm across and 14cm deep, hanging between 40cm and 263cm.

The light sits between the two wave forms rather than facing down, so what you see is the lit edge and the ceiling above it. The drop adjusts over more than two metres, which suits a stairwell as well as a room.
